The Friends of the Aiken Public Library currently has about 200 members. The officers are:

The Board of Directors, which comprises the officers, guides the efforts of the organization, with the assistance of its principal advisors; the Aiken Public Library Manager, Michael Swan, and Mary Jo Dawson, the Director of the ABBE Library system.

The Board of Directors meets in the Aiken County Public Library conference room quarterly. Anyone who is interested in supporting the library on a volunteer basis is encouraged to attend. Please check our Events page to see when the next meeting is scheduled.
